Jodie Hughes, LMT -- Owner and Director
A 2019 graduate from the Marquette School of Therapeutic Massage, Jodie pursued further education twenty years after earning her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois Springfield. Embarking on her fourth career, she initially worked as a daycare teacher prior to motherhood. During that time, she also managed a non-profit youth sports league alongside her husband.
Having relocated to the U.P. a decade ago with her spouse and four children, she fell in love with the verdant landscapes and azure skies unlike any she had seen before. As a budding photographer, she endeavored to encapsulate that tranquility and share it with others via Earth & Sky Photography. This pursuit also afforded her the opportunity to refine her writing abilities. Upon securing a deal with a conventional publisher, she dedicated her time to perfecting her writing, culminating in her initial publications.
Six years after caring for her teenage son during his battle with brain cancer, she aspired to offer comfort, relaxation, and relief to others by earning her license in massage therapy. Applying traditional Swedish massage techniques, she aims to help people relax, rejuvenate, and heal tired, sore muscles. Her training spans various modalities, including targeted treatments, deep tissue, sports massage, specialized Theragun sessions, prenatal massage, and general relaxation techniques. Additionally, she provides our dextoxifying cupping therapy and hot stone treatments.
In her free time, she finds solace from reality by crafting novels across diverse genres. Having been a published author since 2015, she has completed eleven novels thus far. Despite being advised to abandon writing upon receiving her LMT, she responded, "It isn't an option... I can't not write."

Ashlee Ramme, Assistant Director
Ash has been a crucial member of our spa team from the start. Born and raised in Ironwood, and a 2015 Luther L. Wright High School alumna, she ventured to Colorado for a while before coming back to the U.P. In 2021, she advanced to the role of Assistant Manager, overseeing all scheduling. Currently, she's pursuing business studies with the goal of earning her degree within the next year. Her vibrant personality is the perfect complement to our team.
Kari Osier, Hospitality Associate
Kari, a local who grew up in Bessemer, serves as our front desk associate and has been part of our team for three years. Although she's somewhat reserved about being photographed, she's an excellent member of our family—her fondness for Halloween is the reason for the picture. Outside of work, she enjoys reading and cherishing moments with her partner, Dave.
